YOGA & COUNSELLING FOR WELLBEING
Sabrina David is a certified yoga instructor, registered nurse and mental health nurse, who works with youth, adults and older adults living with mental and physical illnesses. She combines her skills and expertise in counselling, general health planning and yoga instruction to work alongside each person towards recovery.
Over the years, Sabrina has worked with people from various cultural backgrounds and people who have had to overcome many of life’s challenges on their journey to recovery from illnesses. Her compassion, care and dedication can be felt in her presence alone.
Sabrina grew up in Australia and overseas, in a family whose focus was based on yogic principles. She first commenced practicing yoga as a young child with her mother and subsequently her sister, both of whom are also yoga instructors. In 2001, Sabrina focused her practice on Hatha, Iyengar and Ashtanga styles of yoga attending regular guided classes and home practice. This was a turning point in her life, when she felt it was time to commence her own “real” yoga journey and to follow in the family tradition.
Now teaching yoga to groups and in private lessons, Sabrina remains passionate about making yoga accessible to all. In particular, she uses the therapeutic aspects of yoga blended with counselling principles and health planning to promote wellbeing of the person as a whole.
